Dr. Alan McLin

Dr. McLin has been meeting the eye care needs of patients at the Morrison Associates for since 1986. He worked closely with the practice founder, Dr. Robert Morrison, one of the inventors of soft contact lenses for many years at the beginning of his career.  He received his doctorate of optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. McLin diagnoses and manages the full spectrum of ocular diseases including infections, diabetes, macular degeneration, dry eye, cataracts and foreign body removal. His expertise in contact lens fitting and design ranges from soft disposable lenses to complex gas permeable designs for patients with keratoconus and other corneal irregularities.

He is involved in  research studies evaluating contact lenses, contact lens solutions and ocular pharmaceuticals.  He has been an adjunct faculty member at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry teaching a course on innovations in contact lenses.  He has published articles and lectured on various contact lens related and vision care subjects.

His daughter is a student at the Tyler School of Art at Temple University.
